Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students from PreK through 8th grade as a dedicated School Occupational Therapist. Support learners throughout four conveniently located sites—two are directly across the street from each other, with the others just a short distance away. With a caseload of 60 students shared between two professionals, you’ll have the chance to make a lasting difference while collaborating with another OT and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about pediatric practice, comfortable rotating between school buildings, and adept at adapting interventions to various ages and needs. At least one therapist should be experienced and confident in conducting comprehensive evaluations. Deliver direct therapy, consult with teachers and staff, and help set students up for lasting academic and personal success.

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current occupational therapy license (or eligibility) for New Jersey
  • School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
  • Ability to travel between multiple closely located sites
  • Experience with evaluations is a plus—at least one OT must be prepared to handle assessment duties
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based and student-centered practice
  • Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct and consultative OT services within PreK–8th grade educational settings
  • Completing timely and accurate evaluation reports (one OT should be able to take a lead in assessments)
  • Developing and implementing individualized student interventions
  • Documenting progress and updating goals as needed
  • Working closely with other therapists, teachers, and support staff
