Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license, with eligibility for Colorado.
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy, sensory integration, and IEP implementation.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and families.

  • Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students within a school-based setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support students’ educational goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing OT insights to the development and review of IEPs.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports.
  • Assist in training staff regarding classroom modifications and strategies to enhance student success.
  • Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions relevant to school-based OT.
