Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active Educator License from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued
  • Ability to adapt across multiple school sites and age groups
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Required to complete fingerprinting and credentialing steps
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for students from preschool to transition age (up to 22)
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized OT plans in collaboration with IEP teams
  • Travel to assigned schools within the district—each day brings unique settings and new students
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all compliance requirements
  • Communicate progress and strategies with families and multidisciplinary staff
  • Support and guide staff through training and consultation as needed
  • This on-site position offers consistent daytime hours, with full-time scheduling between 35-37.5 hours per week, based on school start/end times.
