Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a vibrant K-12 setting near Vancouver, WA. You'll collaborate with educators and families to empower a diverse group of approximately 55 students, helping them thrive academically and socially. This role runs from early January through mid-June, with a possibility for contract renewal for the following year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license with Educational Staff Associate (ESA) credential.
  • School-based OT experience preferred, with knowledge of best practices for supporting K-12 students.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload, providing both direct and consultative services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting interventions for a range of disabilities.
  • Organized, flexible, and compassionate approach to meeting each student’s unique needs.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to identify fine motor, sensory, and functional needs in the school environment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor interventions and strategies designed to promote student access and participation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain IEPs and progress reports.
  • Consult with teachers and parents to integrate OT strategies throughout the school day, both in classrooms and during special activities.
  • Travel between schools in the area, supporting students in Vancouver, Woodland, and Camas as needed.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive educational environment.
  • This project offers a dynamic caseload and the chance to build meaningful connections with students and staff. Interviews are conducted quickly with a flexible, responsive process.
