Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students in their academic and developmental journeys! A contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available, starting August 25th and continuing through December 18th, with the possibility of extension to the end of the school year. You’ll be covering several vibrant school sites, working alongside educational professionals who value innovation and compassion in supporting children’s needs.

Bring your expertise to a varied caseload of approximately 32 students, providing direct OT services for about 800 minutes each week. Your flexibility and organizational skills will shine here—while oversight and guidance will be offered at the start, you’ll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own schedule to best meet the needs of each assigned campus. Your focus will ensure students receive consistent, high-quality care within your assigned buildings, supporting their educational goals and enhancing their day-to-day school engagement.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri (COTA-MO)
  • School-based COTA experience (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites
  • Commitment to fulfilling the assigned caseload each week
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy support services to students as identified in IEPs
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and educational staff
  • Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and treatment sessions
  • Adapt strategies and materials to meet diverse student needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings
