Job Title: Virtual Occupational Therapist 

Location: Michigan (Remote)

Contract Type: Full-Time

Job Description: VocoVision is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Virtual Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide teletherapy services to students in a K-12 Michigan school district. This is a contracted, remote position, ideal for an experienced OT who is looking to make an impact on students' success and well-being from the comfort of their own home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual occupational therapy services to K-12 students with a range of needs, including those with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs, goals, and IEP requirements.
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations, ensuring students' progress and adapting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and parents to support students' learning and development.
  • Document all therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school district guidelines.
  • Provide training and guidance to teachers and staff to help them incorporate occupational therapy techniques into classroom settings.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for students during therapy sessions.

    Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Michigan state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in teletherapy or remote service delivery is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Access to a secure internet connection and a private, quiet workspace for teletherapy sessions.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to contribute to and support special education services.
