Seeking Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COT-A) for Full-Time Role | Wilmington, MA 

Job Overview:

• Current Semester 
• ASAP start
• Mild to profound disabilities
  • Cognitive and physical multi-handicaps
  • Social and emotional behavioral challenges
• Servicing elementary students in substantially separate classrooms
• Assisting OT's in providing direct therapy
• Working with students to gain more interaction with their therapies

COTA Duties:

• Assisting the OT in reducing barriers that limit student participation within the school environment
• Supporting the needs of students with significant challenges
• Helping the OT to determine methods for alternate educational assessment and learning
• Helping the OT to identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes
• Report on student progress and complete Medicaid documentation
• Responsible for planning and delivering direct services, running groups, and collaborating with classroom staff

Requirements:

• Active COTA license in Massachusetts
• Prior school experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate with caregivers effectively and empathetically 
• Organized and patient
