Job Title: School Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Vander, NC

Job Type: Onsite, Full Time (37.5 hrs/week)

Caseload: PreK-12

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting or related field.

Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in NC.

Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the supervising OT in implementing individualized therapy plans and interventions for students.

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups, based on their individualized education programs (IEPs).

Help students develop skills in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive techniques.

Assist with the assessment process, including conducting screenings and documenting student progress.

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are integrated into the students' daily activities and classroom routines.

Develop and maintain therapeutic materials and resources to support therapy goals.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.

Adhere to school policies, professional standards, and relevant regulations and guidelines.
