Job Title: School Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Hamlet, NC (1.5 hours East of Charlotte) Status: Accepting Candidates Duration: 2024-25 school year, Full-time hours

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to make a positive impact in students' lives? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team at [School Name] in Hamlet, NC, for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students.

Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and therapy goals.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress reports.

Requirements:

Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in North Carolina.

Experience working with school-aged children preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
