Blazer Jobs is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time school-based position in Henniker, NH. Job Duties:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with the school team, including teachers, special education staff, and administrators, to implement therapy services effectively.
  • Assist in the evaluation and assessment of students’ needs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Develop and modify therapy goals and interventions based on student progress and needs.
  • Document and track student progress, reporting findings to the OT, school staff, and families.
  • Provide guidance and training to school personnel on the implementation of therapeutic techniques and strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their academic, functional, and motor development goals, including sensory processing and daily living skills.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment conducive to therapy and student development.

    Requirements:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of New Hampshire, as required by local and state regulations.
  • Experience working with special education students is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
