Summary: We are seeking a Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist to provide teletherapy services to students in need of occupational therapy support. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions remotely, collaborating closely with school staff, parents, and caregivers to promote student success and independence in a virtual learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student goals, focusing on enhancing functional skills and participation in academic and social activities.
  • Deliver teletherapy sessions using evidence-based interventions and virtual tools to address students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the virtual classroom and home environment, providing strategies and accommodations to support student success.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed, using data-driven decision-making to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' occupational therapy goals in remote learning settings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.

    Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Washington state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Previous experience working as an occupational therapist in a school setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology for service delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
