Job Title: Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Lake Villa, IL

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school district in Lake Villa, IL. Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Through the current school year, with potential for renewal.

Location: Onsite at schools in Lake Villa, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Occupational Therapist in providing therapy services to students based on their individualized education plans (IEPs).

Assist with implementing treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.

Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to help students meet their goals.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines.

Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and prepare reports for IEP meetings.

Contribute to developing and modifying treatment plans under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.

Ensure compliance with school district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Certification as a COTA and active licensure in Illinois.

Experience working in schools or with children is highly preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the school environment.
