Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in Ponce de Leon, FL. As a COTA, you will provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs, helping them develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success. You will work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement therapy plans and support students' growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.

Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.

Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Monitor and document students' progress and report on their development.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.

Educate and support staff and parents on strategies to assist with students' therapeutic needs.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Florida.

Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions for children.
