School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Near Lakeway, TX
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic school team near Lakeway, TX. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist students in improving their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in providing occupational therapy services to students with various needs.
Implement treatment plans and goals developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Work directly with students in individual and group therapy sessions.
Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom and school activities.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Valid Texas COTA license or eligibility.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a school setting.
Experience working with children is preferred, but not required.
