Job Description:

Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based position in Glen Ellyn, IL. This role involves working with students to support their participation in educational activities and daily living skills through therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized occupational therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with the OT to develop and adapt therapy goals based on students' progress and needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and daily routines.
  • Document and track student progress, providing regular updates to the OT and participating in IEP meetings as needed.
  • Educate and support staff and families on techniques to reinforce therapy goals.

    Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
