BlazerJobs is seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school team in Kerman, CA. This is a part-time position, working 15.5 hours per week, scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday (7.75 hours each day). As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapeutic support to students, helping them develop the skills needed for academic success and daily living activities.

You’ll work with a diverse group of students, assisting with motor skills, sensory processing, and other developmental needs, while collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small group settings

Assist students with fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living

Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress

Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure therapy activities are integrated into students' daily routines

Communicate regularly with the supervising OT to review student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed

Assist with classroom modifications and equipment to support students’ needs

Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and regulations

Qualifications:

Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Active COTA license in the state of California

Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff

Ability to work independently and manage caseload documentation

Compassionate, patient, and flexible attitude toward working with students
