Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and driven Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team in Beloit, WI. As a contracted hourly employee through Soliant Education, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other professionals to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services aimed at enhancing students' independence and participation in school activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists and educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students, aligned with their individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on areas such as sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, and self-care tasks.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and progress.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with various disabilities and challenges.
  • Document students' therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other team members to promote collaboration and support students' success in the school environment.

    Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Wisconsin state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing evidence-based occupational therapy services to students.
