Soliant Education is excited to offer a full-time position for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Penacook, NH. This role is designed for an individual who is passionate about supporting elementary students in their occupational therapy needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Therapy Plans: Assist in executing individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans developed by Occupational Therapists (OTs) to address students’ developmental needs.
  • Direct Therapy: Provide hands-on therapy to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed OT.
  • Track Progress: Monitor and document students’ progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans in collaboration with the supervising OT.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to incorporate therapy goals into classroom activities and enhance students’ overall learning and functional abilities.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and communications with all relevant parties.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid COTA certification or licensure in New Hampshire.
  • Experience: Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Team-Oriented: Capable of working independently while also thriving in a team-based environment.
