Job Description:

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our occupational therapy team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients or students develop and improve their daily living and functional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans.

  • Provide therapy sessions to patients/students to enhance mobility, coordination, and independence.

  • Document patient progress and communicate updates to the OT and care team.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and strategies to continue therapy at home.

  • Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, supportive environment.

  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations for occupational therapy services.

    Requirements:

  • Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • License: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Oregon.

  • Certification: NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, teamwork, and adaptability.
