Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – New Grads Welcome
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives? Qualifications:Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting
Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a COTA
Experience working with children, preferably in schools, is a plus (but not required)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the assessment and development of individualized therapy plans under the supervision of an OT
Provide direct therapy services to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations & modifications for students
Track student progress and report findings to the supervising OT
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to therapy goal-setting
Provide consultation and resources for parents and caregivers
