Job Title: Full-Time/Full School Year (FT/FSY) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position Details:

Employment Type: Full-Time/Full School Year (FT/FSY)

Caseload: Typically 40-55 students

Student Population: Primarily students with moderate to severe disabilities, ages 4-18.

Travel: Candidate will be required to travel to multiple school locations within the district.

Responsibilities:

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR).

Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in various school settings.

Assist students in developing and improving fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-help skills.

Adapt activities and environments to meet the individual needs of students.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.

Follow all ethical and professional standards of practice.

Qualifications:

Current and valid CA COTA license.

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Experience: 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities ages 4-18 in an occupational therapy or educational setting is preferred.

Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
