Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Goodridge, MN. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by assisting students and patients in developing essential skills for independence in a school-based or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in carrying out therapy programs and interventions for students/patients.
Provide direct therapy services to improve motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and daily living activities.
Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and families to support each individual’s goals.
Document therapy sessions and track the progress of students or patients, making adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance overall therapy outcomes.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance.
Active COTA certification in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for helping students/patients achieve greater independence and improve quality of life.
Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
