(COTA or OT) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Full or Part Time w/ Benefits- Glenwood, IL Area

Key Responsibilities:

For COTA:

Work closely with the OT to deliver therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs

Assist students in developing fine motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities

Track student progress, documenting outcomes, and providing regular updates to the OT

Adapt therapy materials and activities to meet the specific needs of each student

Collaborate with the OT, teachers, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students

For OT:

Perform detailed evaluations to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and overall physical development

Design and implement therapy plans that focus on improving functional abilities and motor coordination

Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at enhancing students' independence in daily activities

Work with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care

Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations to help guide therapy goals and strategies

Qualifications:

For COTA: Must hold certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

For OT: A valid Occupational Therapist license is required

Experience working in a school setting is preferred for both positions

Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary

A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential in physical and academic development
