COTA Needed: School Setting Position

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).

Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities.

Conduct assessments and gather relevant data to track students' progress.

Adapt classroom environments, materials, and tasks to maximize student participation and success.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure students' therapeutic needs are being met.

Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, goals, and progress.

Assist with any additional school-related duties as assigned by the OT supervisor.

Qualifications:

Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.

State licensure in Occupational Therapy Assistance (as required by state law).

Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff.

Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children succeed.

Must be able to pass background checks as required by the school district.
