Job Description:

Soliant is actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based position in Redwood City, CA. The COTA will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to provide support to students with physical, emotional, and developmental needs, helping them gain the skills necessary for academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans based on students' needs.

Provide therapeutic services to improve students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional abilities.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure therapy goals are aligned with classroom activities and students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.

Educate teachers and caregivers on strategies to support students' occupational therapy goals in the classroom and at home.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Valid California COTA license.

Previous experience in a pediatric or school setting is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
