Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Opening – Rhode Island
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school district in Rhode Island. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week with a moderate to severe student population. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with this caseload and collaborating with a team of professionals to support student success.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students
Support students with moderate to severe needs in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
Document progress and provide input for student evaluations and reports
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment
Adapt activities and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student
Maintain compliance with school district and state regulations
Qualifications:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
Rhode Island state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience working with moderate to severe populations preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt interventions to support student development
