Job Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Byron, California. In this full-time role, you will work with middle school students to provide therapy focused on improving motor coordination, sensory processing, and functional skills. Your contributions will play a key role in helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Therapy Services: Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to middle school students, with an emphasis on motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills.

Implement IEP Goals: Work alongside the supervising Occupational Therapist to implement and modify therapy plans tailored to meet each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.

Collaborate with Staff: Partner with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are effectively integrated into the school environment and students receive consistent support.

Document Progress: Keep accurate records of therapy sessions, monitor student progress, and communicate regularly with the supervising OT, teachers, and families to ensure continued success.

Who We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

Active California COTA License (required)

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with middle school students in a school-based setting.

Skills and Qualities:

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload

A passion for empowering students to reach functional independence

Job Details:

Start Date: Immediate, for the 2024-2025 School Year

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Caseload: Middle school students (grades 6-8) with mild to moderate disabilities

Work Type: Onsite, W-2 employment
