Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Oxon Hill, Maryland, is a vibrant community located just south of Washington, D.C. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with school-based teams to assess students' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Implement strategies to enhance students' participation and success in the academic environment.
  • Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support the overall well-being of students.

    Qualifications:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Understanding of school-based occupational therapy practices and special education regulations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.

    Experience:

  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • New graduates with a passion for working in schools are encouraged to apply.
