Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Job
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time, school-based contract position in Limon, CO for the new school year. We are looking for a dedicated professional who meets all local and state certification requirements and has a passion for working with students.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school setting, your duties will include:
Assisting the licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in delivering therapy services to students with developmental, sensory, and physical challenges.
Implementing therapy intervention plans developed by the OT to support students’ fine motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
Providing individual and group therapy sessions to help students succeed in the classroom environment.
Monitoring, documenting, and reporting student progress to the OT and educational team.
Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure student success.
Assisting in modifying classroom tools and learning environments to accommodate student needs.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal special education guidelines when providing therapy services.
Qualifications:
Must meet Colorado state licensure and certification requirements for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills to work within a school-based team.
Compensation:
$35-$40 per hour
Weekly direct deposit
