Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, school-based role in Henniker, NH. This position involves working directly with students to help them develop the essential skills they need for school and life, particularly for those with special needs. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
As a COTA in this school setting, your key duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the Occupational Therapist to assist in developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual students.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students, helping them develop fine motor, sensory, and gross motor skills.
  • Assisting students with daily living skills, including dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Documenting and monitoring student progress, and reporting findings to school teams and families.
  • Participating in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and contributing to the development of student goals.
  • Working with other school staff and parents to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Assisting with any other therapy-related tasks as needed by the school district.

    Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of New Hampshire.
  • Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.
  • Must meet all local and state regulations regarding occupational therapy practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel.
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and passionate about supporting children with special needs.
