Actively Interviewing: Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT & COTA's) - PED Required

Are you a talented Occupational Therapist seeking a full-time position? Are you ready to join a school team this semester? Are you skilled at time-management, communication, and working with children? 

You may be our ideal candidate - Sunbelt Staffing is teaming up with a school district in the Pecos, NM area! We are searching for a talented occupational therapist. Candidates must be able to come onsite for assessments however, the school district is currently using a primarily virtual schedule.

Necessary Credentials:

• Active OT license in New Mexico
  • We will consider COTAs with pediatric or school experience for this position
• Active PED license
• Ability to come onsite
  • The school is largely using remote learning for therapy, but needs candidates to come onsite to conduct assessments.
  • There is PPE and social distancing guidelines in place. 

Job Details:

• 35 hours per week 
• Virtual therapy sessions (until further notice) 
  • Candidates should be able to come onsite if needed
• Onsite assessments 
• 30 students 
  • PreK-Elementary levels 
• Primarily mild-moderate disabilities 

Responsibilities:

• Reducing barriers that limit student participation within the school environment
• Supporting the needs of students with significant challenges, such as by helping to determine methods for alternate educational assessment and learning
• Helping to identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes
